I sometimes swatch Deal or No Deal on TV. I find the show a curious testament to human nature. It is interesting to see the decisions that the contestants make and when they make them. The contestants seem to act largely out of emotion with little logical justification. When I watch the show, I tend to be conservative and frequently think that the contestants are making bad choices by continuing on. Of course that is what makes the show interesting since you never know what the contestant will do. I think part of the risk taking attitude can be attributed to the audience since they tend to be overly aggressive and I think that contestants can get caught up with the excitement.
