I recently ran across an amazing project dedicated to the casualties of Vietnam. To me, applications like this are waht make the Internet so powerful. Basically, the people at footnote.com went out and digitized the entire wall. They have put the entire wall online and visitors can scroll through the names on the wall and zoom in to see more detail. Even more interesting, they have also made every name selectable. So you can scroll the wall and then select the name of any of the fallen soldiers and see the details about them. The site also provides the ability to add notes or photos to each name. IMO, this is a great use of technology and a great memorial to the soldiers who died in Vietname.
