Game six is currently underway and Fausto Carmona just got pulled. The Sox are now up 8 to 1 (Sox just scored two more, now 10 to 1) which is a good thing, but there are still 6 more innings to go. However, it is always great to have an early lead.
One of the most interesting things is that JD Drew has had a good game. Ironically, when Manny and Mike Lowell couldn’t get it done with loaded bases, it was JD Drew who was the hero with the grand slam. That was truly a great accomplishment and hopefully will provide some level of redemption to JD Drew’s season. He has really struggled and the media has really gotten on his case and so it is good to see him doing something in the ALCS.
On a side note, it is great to see that Francona decided to start Jakoby Ellsbury. He has already made an impact with his RBI single. Hopefully we will keep seeing more of him. I believe that he brings a spark to the line up that can help motivate the team.
Go Sox!
