I have a very hard time getting excited about the baseball playoffs. The truth of the matter is that baseball is just not my sport. I find it boring and cannot tolerate a full 9 nine innings. (I tend to get bored around the 3rd or 4th inning.) The other issue is that the Red Sox are not in the playoffs. Clearly, they did not deserve it given their collapse, but I find it hard to have any interest when I don't care about any of the teams. The only team I follow peripherally is the Yankees and because they are the arch enemies of the Red Sox. I do not have particularly positive feelings for the Yankees and so I follow them hoping that they are not successful.
