Well, it has been one heck of a long time since my last post. I have spent the last month doing random projects around the house and have done a ton of computer related stuff as well. I reinstalled Gentoo on one of my servers and sucked it up and installed Solaris on my Ultra5. Both installations went smoothly; I am now running RAID 1 on both units with dual 80 GB drives in the Gentoo box and dual 20’s in the Ultra5.
Now the next step is the installation of Apps onto the Ultra5. That will be interesting since as I already mentioned, I am not enamored with Solaris’s package management options. We’ll see.
